What is Ocean Loop?
Ocean Loop is the direct-to-consumer service launched by OV Loop to support Fisker Ocean owners in North America and Europe. It provides cloud connectivity, mobile network access, OTA software updates, remote diagnostics, and future feature upgrades — ensuring your vehicle keeps improving even after Fisker Inc.'s closure.
Who is OV Loop?
OV Loop is a software provider hired by American Lease and the Fisker bankruptcy trustee to manage and maintain the connected cloud infrastructure for Fisker Ocean vehicles.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Your vehicle keeps all installed updates, but you'll lose cloud access, support, and eligibility for future OTA updates.

About Ocean Loop

What is Ocean Loop?
Ocean Loop is the direct-to-consumer service launched by OV Loop to support Fisker Ocean owners in North America and Europe. It provides cloud connectivity, mobile network access, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, remote diagnostics and repair software, and future feature upgrades — ensuring vehicles remain functional, secure, and continuously improving even after Fisker Inc.'s closure.
Who is OV Loop?
OV Loop is a software provider with deep expertise in digital payments infrastructure, automotive, digital wallets, and mobility network platforms. OV Loop was hired by American Lease and the Fisker bankruptcy trustee to manage and maintain the connected cloud infrastructure for Fisker Ocean vehicles.
What happened to Fisker Inc.?
Fisker Inc. is no longer operational. Fisker filed for bankruptcy in June 2024 due to financial difficulties, entering Chapter 7 bankruptcy leading to the liquidation of the company and its assets. Ocean Loop exists specifically to ensure Fisker Ocean owners continue to receive software support.
Is Ocean Loop officially sanctioned?
Yes. OV Loop was contracted by American Lease and the Fisker bankruptcy trustee to manage the connected cloud infrastructure for Fisker Ocean vehicles.

Subscription & Pricing

What's included in the base subscription?
The $499/year subscription includes: cloud connectivity, OTA updates through 2.2.3, remote diagnostics and fixes, the new secure O Loop mobile app, streaming/music access, GPS/time accuracy, PKC (Phone-as-a-Key) support, and phone/email customer support.
Will OS 2.5 and 2.6 be included in my base subscription?
No. OS 2.5 and 2.6 are optional add-ons priced separately, you can add them during signup or later from your profile under Plan → Edit options.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Your vehicle keeps all installed updates after cancellation, but you'll lose cloud access, support, and eligibility for future OTA updates.
Will features be removed if I unsubscribe?
No. Updates already installed on your vehicle remain active. What you lose is cloud connectivity, the O Loop app access, remote diagnostics, support, and eligibility for future updates.
Will future updates cost extra?
Yes. Future OS versions beyond 2.6 will be optional add-ons priced separately from the base subscription. Pricing will always be communicated in advance.

OS Updates

What software version will I receive when I sign up?
You will receive software versions up to 2.2.3. After activation, OS 2.2.1 → 2.2.2 → 2.2.3 are delivered sequentially. T-Mobile and cloud connectivity setup takes 24–48 business hours, then the 2.2.3 OTA typically follows within 7–10 business days.
What's the difference between OS 2.5 and 2.6?
OS 2.5 delivers major infotainment, performance, and UI upgrades via OTA with no additional hardware. OS 2.6 builds on 2.5 by adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, but requires a USB hardware kit and can only be installed via OTA. It introduces phone mirroring, voice assistant support, and deeper media integration.
Is there a 2.4 update?
No. You go directly from OS 2.2.3 to OS 2.5.
Do OS 2.5 and 2.6 apply to European vehicles?
Yes. The features and timeline for 2.5 and 2.6 apply to both North American and European vehicles.
Can I drive while the update is downloading?
Yes. Your Ocean is safe to drive while the update downloads in the background. However, once you initiate the installation, the vehicle cannot be driven. Allow approximately 1 hour for installation to complete while the vehicle remains stationary.
I paid for OS 2.5 — when will the icon appear?
Please allow 2–3 business days for the download/update icon to appear on your Ocean display after payment is confirmed. If you don't see it after 3 business days, contact our support team.
What if the OTA update fails?
You may be referred to a certified FAST partner for an in-shop update. Some vehicles may not support OTA updates due to hardware configurations — vehicle conditioning (healthy 12V battery, good connectivity) before the update is important.

The O Loop App

What does the O Loop app do?
The O Loop app provides secure remote unlock/start, OTA status monitoring, vehicle status, Phone-as-Key (PKC), battery and range status, cabin preconditioning, California Mode, and location tracking. It is included with your subscription.
Are third-party tools like OceanLink Pro supported?
No. Legacy third-party APIs have been disabled for security reasons. Only the official O Loop mobile app is supported for vehicle access and control.

Security & Data

Is my data secure?
Yes. OV Loop uses encrypted data channels and secured app protocols across all systems — from software updates and personal information to remote vehicle access.
Can I opt out of updates or roll back software?
You may request to delay certain non-critical updates. However, once an update is installed, it cannot be rolled back.

Once your service is live, you'll receive an email invitation to opt in. After you confirm, your Ocean receives the update on a scheduled date.

After 2.2.3 is installed, you'll receive an email invite to join the O Loop app. Follow the in-app steps to connect your Ocean and enable Phone-as-Key.

App Troubleshooting

Most issues are resolved by reinstalling the latest version of the app.

Some commands don't run
Another app (like OceanLink Pro) may be connected to your Ocean. Force close both OceanLink Pro and O Loop, then open O Loop only.
Bluetooth (BLE) won't connect or is unstable
Try in order: (1) Force close and relaunch O Loop. (2) Confirm your Ocean is running OS 2.2.3. (3) Ensure Bluetooth is ON and O Loop has the right permissions (on Android: Location and Nearby devices). (4) Make sure no other app is connected via BLE to your Ocean. (5) Move away from clusters of other BLE devices before retrying.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OceanLoop subscription service and any associated or future mobile applications (the "Service") provided by OV Loop Inc., a Delaware corporation, with offices at 73 Holton St, Woburn, MA 01801, USA ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Services

The Service includes cloud-based functionality to support eligible Fisker vehicles, including:

  • Reconnection of 4G/LTE vehicle connectivity
  • Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates
  • Accurate time and geo-location synchronization
  • Remote diagnostics and vehicle health monitoring
  • Customer support and account management communications
  • Access and interaction through any current or future mobile applications provided by OV Loop Inc.

OV Loop reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any component of the Service at its sole discretion and without liability. Features and availability may vary depending on vehicle model, hardware compatibility, software version, and geographic location.

You acknowledge that OTA updates and diagnostic data collection are essential components of the Service. By using the Service, you expressly consent to:

  • The transmission and receipt of software updates to your vehicle without prior notice, which may modify, enhance, or disable certain functionalities.
  • The automatic collection, analysis, and storage of diagnostic, performance, and behavioral data from your vehicle, which may include location, usage patterns, system status, and component data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OV Loop disclaims all liability for any damages, including but not limited to data loss, system malfunctions, or disruptions arising from OTA updates or diagnostic processes. You understand and agree that OTA updates may be necessary for the continued operation and security of your vehicle's software systems. The Service, including over-the-air (OTA) updates and diagnostics, is provided on a commercially reasonable, best-efforts basis.

Eligibility & Registration

To subscribe to or access the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate personal information including full name, email address, phone number, and VIN
  • Maintain a valid payment method on file

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your registration data. By registering, you authorize OV Loop to use your contact information for account-related communication and support.

Intended Use

The Ocean Loop service is a B2C service intended solely for use by natural persons (individual human users) who own or operate eligible Fisker Ocean vehicles.

By subscribing to or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are a real individual and not acting on behalf of a company, business, or other legal entity.

We do not offer or authorize use of the Service by businesses, commercial fleets, or corporate entities.

Use of the Service in a commercial context, or by any organization, enterprise, or non-individual party, is expressly prohibited and constitutes a violation of these Terms.

License and Restrictions

Subject to these Terms, OV Loop grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service solely in connection with your authorized vehicle(s) for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code from any portion of the Service
  • Access or use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
  • Resell, sublicense, or distribute the Service or related software without written authorization
  • Use automated means or scraping tools to access Service data or content

Subscription Fees and Billing

The Service is available via an annual subscription at $499/year. By subscribing and/or paying for the additional add-on services:

  • You authorize OV Loop or its third-party payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until cancellation.
  • All charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
  • You may cancel at any time; your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing or features with advance notice via email or in-app communication. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.

Service Limitations

Service performance depends on factors beyond OV Loop's control, including but not limited to cellular coverage, software compatibility, network availability, and geographic location. The Service, including over-the-air (OTA) updates and diagnostics, is provided on a commercially reasonable, best-efforts basis and may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, or unforeseen technical issues.

You acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • OV Loop is not liable for the performance, health, or safety of your vehicle, nor the success or reliability of any OTA update or diagnostic action, in the event your vehicle has been modified, serviced, or altered using any third-party software, hardware, or repair services not expressly approved by OV Loop.
  • In such cases, OV Loop makes no guarantees regarding the outcome or functionality of the Service, and you accept full responsibility for any performance issues, malfunctions, or failures that may result.
  • Any corrective repairs or technical support required due to unauthorized modifications will not be included as part of your subscription or update fees. You may be referred to an OV Loop–authorized third-party service center for resolution, and you will be solely responsible for any associated costs.

You also understand that the Service does not guarantee continuous uptime, availability, or uninterrupted delivery of updates and does not replace vehicle insurance, emergency response systems, or professional servicing.

User Data and Privacy

We collect, use, and process user data as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are an EU/EEA resident, we process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on the context, this includes processing necessary to perform a contract, based on your consent, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests.

Your personal data may be transferred to and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions outside the EU/EEA. Where we do so, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to protect your data.

Mobile Applications

Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OV Loop Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Infringement of third-party rights

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

All disputes, claims, or controversies arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in Wilmington, Delaware, and shall be governed by Delaware law.

You waive the right to trial by jury and agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only (no class actions).

Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted within the Service and take effect upon your continued use. If you do not accept changes, you must discontinue use and cancel your subscription.

General Terms

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OV Loop regarding the Service
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect
  • You may not assign your rights without OV Loop's written consent
  • Failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver
